I hope my journey inspires you and you follow along as we promote positive living.
A very wise woman once told me, “Don’t repeat the same actions expecting a different result.” Since then, I decided to take an alternate route, and I went on to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health. I’m a public health professional working in the Maternal, Child, and Reproductive Health sectors, something I’m very passionate about. I am currently pursuing my Master of Public Health Degree with a concentration in Health Services Policy & Management and a Maternal and Child Health Graduate Certificate.
I have learned, and I’m still learning, how to take risks, walk in my purpose and live confidently and joyfully, all while having fun.
I am very passionate about helping others, and my goal is to focus on improving the lives of others in any capacity, especially when it comes to Health and wellness.
Upon embarking on my early journey in nursing school, I learned that many challenges come along with being a nurse. I quickly learned that nursing school was no joke. I, too, was faced with many obstacles and had to choose between giving up or turning my stumbling blocks into stepping stones.
After failing out of Nursing School, I decided to turn my stumbling blocks into stepping stones. Giving up is never going to be an option; no amount of failures or stumbling blocks will take that away from me. I had time to reflect, and ever so often, I do a self-evaluation to determine what is and isn’t working and ways in which I can improve, change and grow, and what it is that I can do better.

I founded Scrub Life Cares in 2020 based on the belief that every person who menstruates should have access to basic essential items. We aim to end period-related stigmas by providing access to menstrual products, providing health education, ensuring that every menstruator has adequate access to menstrual products.
